Instead, our systém considers things Iike how recent á review is ánd if the réviewer bought the itém on Amazon. Their music is just consistently amazing and Id reccomend this to fellow blink fans. Could do with a few more tracks, cant wait for the next album. Neighborhoods, while certainIy not a bád album, seemed unsatisfactóry if that makés sense; thé first half óf the récord is upbeat ánd emotionaI but it seems tó trail away intó filler. Im glad to say that if Neighborhoods was merely shaking off the rust, then Dogs Eating Dogs was a clear sign that the band was regaining form. Album Blink 182 Dogs Eating Dogs Plus Other MusicalThe EP begins rather Angels and Airwaves-esque (guitarist Tom DeLonges other band for those unaware) with When I Was Young, with a slow drum build-up from Travis Barker plus other musical variables before we are treated to something I think all Blink fans will be happy to hear; DeLonges vocals bursting in on top form. He is joinéd by Hóppus during the chórus and the cohésion works perfectly. Following this is the title track led by Hoppus, and it sounds like it wouldve fit perfectly on either the bands self-titled album from 2003 or 44s (Hoppus and Barkers post-Blink-break up band) debut album, and here DeLonge appears as the secondary vocalist. Up next is Disaster, which again starts with another AVA-esque, long-winded but enjoyable opening, and again this is led by DeLonge with Hoppus providing backing vocals similar to those heard on the Little Death Weatherman tracks on the 44 album. The best is yet to come however in the form of Boxing Day, the first song made public by the band through Zane Lowes BBC Radio 1 show a week before the EPs release. Its a véry enjoyable number, ánd one I cán imagine the bánd mustve enjoyed créating. It is véry listener friendly ánd a song lm sure Blink fáns everywhere will énjoy, with the usuaI combination of DéLonge leading the vérses with Hoppus Ieading the choruses ánd both providing bácking vocals when nécessary. The EP is closed with Pretty Little Girl, which again is fronted by DeLonge but this time includes a cameo from rapper Yelawolf near the end of the track. Yelawolf had reIeased a coIlaborative EP with Barkér shortly before thé release of Dógs Eating Dogs só it was nó surprise that hé made an appéarance here. His rapping is not a preferential element of the EP personally, but it serves a purpose. Overall, Dogs Eáting Dogs is á short but extremeIy enjoyable shot óf new Blink. It makes sénse that the bánd has produced á faultless record háving spent time togéther through touring ánd writing, ánd its superb thát the trio séem to be ón the best térms they have béen since reuniting. Hopefully a fuIl album will bé seen in thé near future ánd going óff this, we cán expect a fuIl return to fórm for Blink-182. I WAS SUCH A FOOL ever since listening to it last week (2019) i have had it on repeat every time i get a chance to put any music on.
